FAQs

How can I get an On-site Wastewater Treatment System at my residence?

Clean Stream Systems works with homeowner to help decide what product works best for their needs. Reach out to us via our contact form, by phone, or by email to start the conversation. We typically recommend Fuji Clean USA or Norweco On-site Wastewater Treatment Systems.

What does the approval process look like?

We must get approval through the Kentucky Division of Water along with your local health department for a residential system. It typically takes one month to receive the approval letter. Clean Stream Systems works diligently with all parties to process all forms and paperwork.

How long does it normally take to install an On-site Wastewater Treatment System

It typically takes 2 business days to complete job from start to finish after all approvals.

What type of maintenance is associated with an On-site Wastewater Treatment System

Typically, the Division of Water requires maintenance and inspection of your on-site wastewater treatment tank quarterly for the first two years. After the second year, the homeowner and Clean Stream Systems develop a maintenance plan that’s best for the customer and the environment. (E.g., if the home is a vacation or secondary home then maintenance and inspection would happen once a year; if the residence is occupied year round with an average of 600 gallons a day usage then maintenance and inspection would likely remain quarterly.)

How much does maintenance and inspection cost?

The first year of maintenance schedule is usually included in the installation cost. After the first year, the cost is based on drive time and location.
